Robin kirby, VP of Development & Marketing
Robin Kirby is a nonprofit development professional with a broad background that includes social work and training. She joined Quality Care for Children’s development and marketing team in 2011, contributing to its growth and expansion over the years. As the organization’s needs and priorities have changed, Robin spearheaded the shift to three new special events including QCC’s current signature event, the Early Start Breakfast. She has also played critical roles in the organization’s individual, corporate and foundation fundraising efforts.
Having worked previously for Senior Connections and DeKalb Rape Crisis Center, Robin brings more than 12 years of concentrated nonprofit development experience to her role as VP of Development and Marketing. She has planned and executed the full gamut of development activities including direct mail campaigns, grants, major gifts, and special events, as well as marketing efforts such as branding and website development. Additionally, she spent more than a decade in direct service provision of public welfare programs and as a professional trainer of Georgia Department of Family and Children Services employees. At QCC, she marries her fundraising and nonprofit marketing experiences with her passion for human services and leveling the playing field for underserved populations.
Growing up an army brat, Robin learned to establish relationships with a variety of people in new environments. She honed her public speaking skills at the Demosthenian Literary Society at the University of Georgia, where she earned a BA in History and Political Science. Robin lives in Decatur with her daughter and miniature schnauzer.
